Description
Scope: In 2004, Tampa PBS station WEDU launched a monthly magazine program called A Gulf Coast Journal that highlighted eclectic, artful and interesting stories on Florida’s Cultural Coast. The station asked Jenesis Creative to help produce an entertaining show that complimented host Jack Perkins’ poetic style.
Approach: Brilliant photography, fascinating interviews, thoughtful storytelling and host Jack Perkins’ poetic delivery all contributed to the success of this series.

Footnote: The Gulf Coast Community Foundation originally agreed to fund Journal’s first season (12 episodes). The TV series was so popular, that the foundation sponsored it for eight more years. Reruns still air on WEDU.
